Program completion medals! New members (those who haven’t earned a medal yet) will receive a program medal upon completion! All members, returning and new, will also earn extra lanyard pins for every session you complete!
Half Training

Ryan has over 15 years of experience as a coach working with walkers, first time runners, up to Boston Qualifiers and elites. As a runner himself, he was the captain for the NCAA D1 National Cross Country Champions at Oklahoma State, the captain for the 2013 World Cross Country Silver Medal team for team USA, and ran professionally for Brooks for 11 years. He qualified for 4 straight Olympic Trials in both the 10k and marathon. While still an avid runner in the Portland area, his focus has shifted to the coaching side with plenty of advice to offer with pacing, nutrition, recovery, strength and racing.
Pace is highly individualized, but sometimes you just need a simple assessment to get you started. But sometimes you just gotta get started and make it easy at first.
Here’s our suggestion to get you going before the season starts:
