A place for community

Founded in 2000 at the site of an old video store in NE Portland, the neighborhood setting set the stage for our business model that focuses on immersing our employees and our operations directly within the community around us.

Our community-based business model strives to:

  • Increase access to the sport with events and programs for all ages
  • Create a one-stop hub for all things running, walking, and fitness
  • Better our fellow runners and walkers and the community they live in

Our employment principles echo our customer-facing mission:

  • Profit via product expertise, selection, and trust
  • Inclusion through free and paid programs for all ages
  • Viewing each and every employee as ambassadors of the sport and store
