Summer All-Comer Track Meets
(ALL ages… yes, parents too!)
Join us for another fun-filled summer of track and field at Grant Park! Kids and adults of all ages are invited to this Portland tradition as Foot Traffic, Portland Parks, and partnering high schools host weekly track meets featuring all kinds of track and field events (see schedule below). Each year nearly 1,500 participants, both young and old, get their track fix at these evening races. Summer All-Comer Track meets begin in June and run through July. Check the updated schedule below. The fun starts with the 60 meters for kids and predict mile and ends with the 4 x 100 relay at 7:45 with many events in between.
Summer 2017 Schedule
June 20th – Grant High School, 6pm (registration opens at 5:30)
June 27th – Grant High School, 6pm (registration opens at 5:30)
July 11th – Grant High School, 6pm (registration opens at 5:30)
July 18th – Grant High School, 6pm (registration opens at 5:30)
“I went to my first one last night with 5 kids of different age groups. I want to thank you for putting this event on it was great. The kids were inspired to try new things and more importantly to me, they were all exhausted and slept well! We will look forward to more track meets next summer.”
- All meets start at 6pm.
- All Grant meets are on Tuesdays.
Day-of prices: $3 for Youth $4 for Adults
HOW TO REGISTER:
Registration is done at the meets. Show up beforehand to sign the waiver and get your age group tag.
(events are on a “rolling start”) 6pm-7:30pm: All field events and start (high jump, long jump, softball throw, shotput) The following events are on a rolling start: 60 meter dash (Ages 10 and under ONLY) 100 meter dash (all ages) Predict mile (ALL AGES!) 400 meters (all ages) 800 meters (15 and under for first session. Night session is over 15) 200 meters (ALL AGES!) 4x100 family relay (ALL AGES!)
Spring All-comer Track Meets (youth only):
Join us for another fantastic season of Spring track in Portland! Foot Traffic partners with Portland Parks and Recreation to offer these low-cost, fun-filled Tuesday meets at Grant High School. These are for both individuals and for teams, so all youth are welcome!
This year’s schedule is as follows:
(All meets at Grant H.S. Track from 5:45-7:45pm)
• March 21st, Middle School Foot Traffic Ice-breaker
• April 11th, All-ages track meet
• April 18th, All-ages track meet
• April 25th, All-ages track meet
• May 9th, 3-5th grade city championship meet
